A mining and mineral education course. The manual contains 97 activities,
a conceptual framework, and focuses on careers and the tools used in
the mining field. Eight full color posters introduce students to Rocks
and Minerals, Mountains to Metals, From the Mine to My Home, Aggregates,
Coal and Coal Technology, Mining Reclamation, and Out of the Rock, which
visually takes students around the Earth to discover man-made rock and
mineral wonders. Also included is the Out of the Rock video, Mining and
Minerals, Coal Energist, and a Mining Glossary and Games. A Character
Education Enrichment poster set is also included.
