NEF’s newest poster provides numerous household natural gas safety tips, including what to do if you smell gas. The poster includes an affixed ‘scratch ‘n sniff’ sticker to help teachers, students, and the general public learn to recognize the ‘rotten egg’ smell of mercaptan, the odorant added to natural gas. The poster also includes vital pipeline safety information, including awareness of where underground pipelines are located, the need to call before you dig, how to recognize a leak, and what to do if you suspect a leak.
