BOB POULSON NAMED NEF PRESIDENT
The National Energy Foundation is pleased to announce Bob Poulson as its new president. Bob has been with NEF for over 25 years where he served as vice president and was recently sworn in as president at the annual board meeting on February 14th, 2007. Prior to joining NEF, Bob was a classroom teacher and also brings several years experience in the energy business arena. National Energy Foundation is excited about the direction and leadership Mr. Poulson brings.

NEW NEF WEB SITE AND ON LINE STORE
The National Energy Foundation recently redesigned its homepage and on line store. For a more detailed look at the new web site, please visit www.nef1.org. NEW MATERIALS PRICING STRUCTURE
A new materials pricing structure has been developed by NEF. The change brings a discount in poster pricing and a more simple approach to the pricing of other NEF materials. Posters, which were previously listed at $4.95, are now $4.00 retail. The discount schedule has also been rearranged. NEF CONTEST UPDATES
Both of NEF's student contests, Igniting Creative Energy and Energy By Design experienced successful years in 2007.

The seventh-annual nation-wide Igniting Creative Energy Challenge, held in partnership with Johnson Controls Inc., and with support from USEA, generated over 2,200 entries. This year's four grand-prize winners (three students and one teacher) are: for the elementary division- Stacy Nicole Wade (Kansas); for the middle school division- Emily Wang (Utah); for the high school division- Stephanie Vinson (California). This year's teacher winner is Angel Kamara, a math teacher in the Columbia County School District in Georgia.

Nicor Gas of Illinois, in partnership with National Energy Foundation, held the second year of the Energy By Design Contest. The contest, based in Nicor Gas service territory area in Illinois, generated over 1,000 student entries this year. The winners for this year are: for the K-2 grades division- Patrick Ames; for the 3-5 grades division- Isabel Paradisa Lohman; for the 6-8 grades division- Kelsey Chow. This year's teacher winners are Dana Kessinger, Dian Nealey and Jeanna Pekol.

NEF would like to thank Johnson Controls and Nicor Gas for their dedication to energy education through the competitions.

PHILIPS JOINS IN SPONSORSHIP OF ICE
Philips Lighting Company (a division of Philips Electronics North America) has joined Johnson Controls Inc. as a sponsor of the national Igniting Creative Energy (ICE) Student Challenge. Philips will be providing each national winner, including the teacher winner, with a Philips digital PhotoFrame. Each of the four national winner's schools will receive a HeartStart OnSite Defibrillator. Philips will also be awarding each state winner with a 1 GB Flash Audio MP3 Player. NEF would like to thank Philips for their sponsorship and contribution to the Igniting Creative Energy Student Challenge.

NEF AND THE WESTERN ENERGY TRAINING CENTER JOIN FORCES
National Energy Foundation has entered into a collaborative partnership with the Western Energy Training Center (WETC) in an effort to develop and implement programs to introduce career opportunities in the energy industry to K-12 students. Through a program of work which includes energy fairs, day camps, professional development workshops and conferences and an energy field tour. NEF hopes to inspire young people to visualize their futures in making career contributions as they learn the importance of energy and natural resources.
