National
Energy Foundation is pleased to announce Donald F. Santa,
Jr. as the new chairman of the board. Mr. Santa is the
President of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of
America (INGAA), the North American association representing
the interstate and interprovincial natural gas pipeline
industry. NEF would also like to thank Mr. Santa for
his service as a board member since 2005 and looks forward
his leadership as chairman.
Mr. Santa brings an extensive
background in government and in the energy industry to
the NEF board. He has served as majority counsel to the
U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources
from 1989-1993. He was nominated in 1993 to be a member
of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, where he
served until 1997. Mr. Santa joined LG&E Energy Corp
in Louisville, KY, where he served as Deputy General
Counsel and Senior Vice President for Strategic Planning
from 1997-2001. Most recently before joining INGAA, he
was a partner in the Washington, DC office of Troutman
Sanders LLP where he was a member of the law firm's federal
regulatory practice group. Prior to assuming his current
role at INGAA in August 2003, Mr. Santa had been the
association’s Executive Vice President since January
2003.
Mr. Santa is a graduate of
the Columbia University School of Law and the Duke University
Trinity College of Arts and Sciences. He resides with his
wife and two children in Edgewater, MD. |
